Thomas Arthur Bushby

"...but the Children are both constant to their first friends, Mr. Bushby came in yesterday afternoon, after a 9 week's absence, and they both rushed (underlined) to the door to meet him, and made so much noise that Mr. Begbie threatened to send for a policeman!"

"We are likely to have more ladies in the Autumn...Mr. Bushby is suposed to be going to marry Agnes Douglas, the Governor's Daughter, and they will live here - however we shall not see much of them as their house will be down in the Town - It is 1 1/4 miles off, and I am getting so old that I can't walk so far in hot weather!!!"
