July 1861 - Appointed Chief Constable at Rock Creek, on the recommendation of A. C. Elliott.

A Second Corporal's Regimental Pay per Diem was 1s. 10 3/4d. plus Working Pay per Diem of 1s. to 4s.

February 1862 - Drowned at Harrison Rapids (memo from Sapper Johnathan Bruce, RE in Judge Howay papers)
